2027-2028 board of directors

Men in CSD is accepting nominations for the 2027–2028 Board of Directors. Serving on the Board is an opportunity to shape strategic direction, advance mentorship initiatives, and strengthen representation within our profession.

Open Positions

  • Chair-Elect

  • Treasurer

  • Public Relations

Chair-Elect serves January 1–December 31, 2027 and progresses automatically to Chair (2028) and Past-Chair/Advisor (2029).

Treasurer and Public Relations serve two-year terms (January 1, 2027–December 31, 2028).

Secretary and Student Representative are not open during this cycle.

Eligibility

Nominees must:

  • Be a current Professional Member of Men in CSD

  • Hold a graduate degree in SLP, Audiology, or Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences and/or hold ASHA certification

Only eligible nominees will advance to the ballot.

Nomination materials

Nominees must submit:

  • Statement of interest (1–2 paragraphs)

  • Current CV (internal review only)

  • Short professional bio (100–150 words)

  • Headshot

The bio, headshot, and statement will appear on the official election ballot.

Timeline

Nominations close prior to the Q3 Board meeting (anticipated August 2026).

  1. Electronic voting opens following Q3.

  2. Voting closes October 18, 2026.

  3. Results announced November 2026 convention.
